Meet the staff

Evan has been a part of Rimrock Downtown from the beginning.  Back in 2012, when it was a 3rd service, he was brought on as a guest teacher.  Over the years, his desire and passion for the community has grown.  In the spring of 2017, he felt God calling him to dedicate more of his time and energy to RD.  As the community began to grow and developed into a 2nd campus, he was asked to dedicate even more of his time and become the Downtown Pastor.  He is humbled to have a role in God bringing his goodness to this world and is excited to watch a talented group of followers of Jesus walk out God's plan for Downtown.

Chris was born and raised in Rapid City and served over 20 years through the ministry of Young Life. He now serves as a Biblical Counselor at Christian Life Ministries and teaching pastor at Rimrock Downtown. He and his wife have been married for 17 years and have 3 beautiful children (Emory, Copeland and Lucy). They were privileged to be one of the families who helped get Rimrock Downtown started back in 2012 and are continually blown away by what God continues to do through His people at Rimrock. Outside of ministry, Chris loves to be outdoors camping, climbing or mountain biking and is a self-proclaimed "coffee nerd"

Kayla grew up in Southern Minnesota and has a bachelors degree in Graphic Design. Kayla and her husband Ross moved to the Black Hills in 2017, to enjoy the many trails and rock climbing routes they have to offer. Since then, she has had two sons, Cedar and Silas, and now spends less time climbing and more time being a mom; and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Kayla and Ross started attending Rimrock Downtown in the summer of 2018 and she started getting involved at the church by designing sermon series art shortly after. She is very thankful for Rimrock and the community they have met through the years.
