Going below the surface to discover the riches of a relationship with God.

Mining the Word of God to know "the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

Colossians 1:27

What is the Mine?

The Mine is a gathering of young adults with the purpose of discovering what it really means to be a Christian.  We meet below the /files/Youth/foosball.jpgsurface, (downstairs at 318 Mt. Rushmore Rd) to get below the surface of religion to a real relationship with God and each other. Fun, music, drama and challenge can be found at various levels of The Mine.  The Mine is open to high school students, grades 9-12.

The Mine’s hours of operation are Wednesday evenings  from 6:30pm–8:30pm. We welcome any high school student to stop by The Mine and see what God’s Word has to say about YOU!/files/HS Gallery/100_0553.jpgThe Foreman of The Mine is Patrick Karn.  Pat is a  Biblical Counselor at Christian Life Ministries and is the Family Life Pastor and /files/Staff pictures/pat.jpgPreacher on staff at Rimrock Church.  As a counselor since 1993, Pat has seen the damage that can be done to people and relationships without having knowledge of Biblical Truths.  He has also seen the  amazing healing that God can do when Truth is trusted by faith.  His passion is to get truth in the hands of the young adults so that they may prevent damage that later needs repair.

Pat has been married to Connie for over 30 years and they have three children.  The number of their grandchildren seems to change rather frequently.
